Print Gocco Workshop

I’ve always wanted a Print Gocco Machine of my own but still haven’t gotten around to purchasing one. I was excited about this workshop but unfortunately I have an appointment at the same time as the workshop. If you’d like to try Print Gocco, Joe from Monster Gallery is holding a workshop on Saturday. Interested parties can email Joe at

What’s Happening: Farmers’ Market in Singapore

I just found out last month that there was a farmer’s market held here in Singapore twice a month at Loewen Gardens. I’ve never been to a Farmers’ Market before so I’m keen to go on the next schedule. I’d like to try the baked goodies and jams aside from the produce.

Upcoming Schedule:

  • March – 3rd and 17th
  • April – 7th and 21st
  • May – 5th and 19th
  • June – 2nd and 16th

I found this great post from 365days2play. 365days2play kindly let us use her photos on our post.  Check out her blog for posts on food, travel and lifestyle.

What’s Happening Singapore: Harry Potter Exhibit

I was thrilled when I found out that the Art and Science Museum will be bring the Harry Potter Exhibit to Singapore on June. I’ve been a huge fan of the books and movies and it would be great to see the movie props from all 8 films. There are activities like pulling a Mandrake from its pot and tossing a quaffle.

I can’t wait til June.

Embroidery Workshop by Etincelle Creative Studio

I attended the embroidery workshop by Marie of Etincelle Creative Studio in conjunction with Ruth of The Little Happy Shop at the Buena Vista Community Centre last Saturday.

We receive a sewing small kit and got to select from two different styles of the brooch design. Marie instructed us on how to lay down beads and sequins in the two hour workshop. Each bead and sequin is laid down and sewn one by one.

I just love how therapeutic embroidery is like what Marie mentioned. I’m already planning to embroider a design on a pillow and bought all the materials for my next project. Stay tuned.

Public Garden Flea Market on Feb 18

We will be participating in the Public Garden Flea Market on February 18 at the Goodman Arts Centre Block B near Mountbatten MRT. This is a must see flea for those looking to score some unique goods. The organizers usually select a good variety of sellers. Click here to view our post the last time we participated at Public Garden as a seller.

The last Public Garden Flea had food, art, plushies, stationery, a travel guide and many other interesting products

Christmas Craft Party

We had a craft party with Etsy folks and friends at Marie’s place. Marie and I thought that it would be a fun way to get together aside from our regular meet-up where we discuss issues for small businesses over coffee with other members. With all team events, we welcome members and guests. Joining us for this event are:

1. Katrina and Lex (Katrina Alana)
2. Marie (Etincelle Studio)
3. Claire (fellowfellow)
4. Lisa (florigamigirl)
5. Melani (magsbeadscreation)
6. Susan (tiramisuzi)

We’re planning on having another craft party by January for Valentine’s Day. We will be announcing the date earlier so more people can join.

Melanie, Claire, Lisa, Marie and Katrina

Susan already left before we remembered to take the photo at the end of the session. Time passed so quickly and before we knew it, three hours had passed.

Talking about our activities for the day

We planned to make cards, wrap gifts, make tags  and make tree ornaments. Everyone was busy working on their individual projects.

Craft supplies for everyone to use

We chatted a bit about business and everyone helped each other with some craft advice.

Just a few of the stamps available for everyone to use

We had a drinks, cake, biscuits, watermelon plus these cute cupcakes as refreshments

Susan’s project

Susan’s stamps were so popular with everyone. I used them to make the gift tags for our Christmas presents.
