Free Valentine’s Patterns

Handmade gifts are always the best and to help you make your present to your love ones this year, I’ve created six different patterns for you to use in your personal projects. This is the first time I’ve designed a printable pattern based on what I think are the icons of Valentine’s Day. Hop over at Pretty Paper Things to download these goodies.

Heart Frames Project

I found this wonderful project by Kristina from www.love.a. I got in touch with her and she told me that she got the inspiration for the frame heart from an old issue of Marie Claire Idees and she always wanted to have a heart on top of their bed. She loves photography so she named her project the Heart Frames Project. I’d love to do this project someday. It would be the perfect way to feature family photos.

Heart Shaped Pancakes

We decided to make a brunch yesterday and try our heart shaped pancake mold. To make the meal a bit more hearty, we fried some bacon in maple syrup, scrambled eggs and sauteed portobello mushrooms.

We did a few heart shaped pieces with the mold since we only had one and a few regular sized pancakes since we were pretty hungry.

DIY Heart Paper Clips

I always loved stationery ever since I was a kid. I would hang out at my aunt’s bookstore and I would save up my allowance to buy paper goods and office supplies. I just had to share this tutorial. It’s frugal and cute solution to making a boring paperclip into something special.

This tutorial was made by Jessica Jones. She’s a graphic, textile designer and a blogger. Hop over to her blog for more details on this tutorial.
